Long H. Nguyen, MD, is an addiction psychiatrist in Comprehensive Pain Management at UT Health Austin. He also serves as Associate Medical Director for Crisis, Residential and Substance Use Services with Integral Care. Prior to completing his medical degree at Stanford, Dr. Nguyen received a BA in Music from Brown University. He completed psychiatry residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital Cornell-Payne Whitney and addiction psychiatry fellowship at the University of California-San Francisco. Dr. Nguyen had a solo psychiatry practice in San Francisco from 2011-2016 focusing on the treatment of addiction, depression, and anxiety through both medical and psychotherapy approaches. In 2013, he became Director of Addiction Treatment Services at VA Palo Alto Health Care System. In 2017, Dr. Nguyen relocated to Austin and in addition to his work with Integral Care, serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, Dell Medical School, and Adjunct Assistant Professor, Texas A&M College of Medicine.
