The Texas Institute for Discovery Education in Science (TIDES) in the College of Natural Sciences supports experiential undergraduate learning opportunities in science.  The TIDES fellowship provides funding for undergraduates to gain research experience under the supervision of a UT faculty mentors on research projects for 8 to 10 weeks.

Cara Fonken received the TIDES fellowship for her proposal entitled "“The effect of alcohol-induced changes to gut microbiome and autoimmunity in a murine model of multiple sclerosis”. 

Chumeng Wang received the TIDES fellowship for her proposal entitled "Links between post-acute sequelae SARS-CoV-2 infection (PASC) and autoimmunity".
