Billi Terresa Cowden Postdoctoral Fellowship
The Billi Terresa Cowden Postdoctoral Fellowship was launched in 2024 to support postdoctoral fellows investigating consequences of alcohol and other substance use disorders. This fellowship will cover 50% of the salary and fringe benefits for selected awardees in fiscal year 2024-2025. In addition, awardees will receive an annual $2,000 travel allowance.

Eligibility criteria
- Current appointment as a Postdoctoral Fellow at UT Austin with an upcoming appointment for FY 24-25.
- Research focused on clinical or preclinical studies related to mechanisms of drug action, neuroadaptation to repeated substance use, treatment, outcomes, or risk factors (e.g. genetic, comorbid mental illness, early life trauma, family factors, PTSD).
