Congratulations to Adriana Souto Pereira Nuncio, graduate student in the Melamed Lab, being selected to receive the 2026 John P. McGovern Fellowship Award from the Texas Research Society on Alcoholism (TRSA) . Adriana received this award to support her research proposal, “Therapeutic Potential of Akkermansia muciniphila in Postmenopausal Women with Alcohol Use Disorder.”

 

The award provides $5,000 in research funding to support non-personnel costs associated with conducting the research project.
