Congratulations to Kat Motovilov, graduate student in the Melamed lab, on receiving a Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) Predoctoral fellowship! NRSAs are a highly selective source of funding that are awarded to promising doctoral students on based on a competitive peer-review process. Kat received the award to support her dissertation research investigating the role of the gut microbiome in alcohol use disorder using a rodent model of alcohol drinking.
